Summer Group Trips

We love to host groups!

With our newest venue at Government Peak, we can also provide your group with the comfort of a 1300 square foot hall with seating for up to 150 people.  You can have it all!

We have the ability to support groups from 6 to 60 people; whether you are looking for a corporate, youth or team building outing, we have several group options to choose from.  Our group trip options allow you to create the most memorable excursion possible for your group.  Group trips are available at Eklutna Lake and Government Peak Recreation Area.

Group biking trips are available in Anchorage and can accommodate up to 45 people.  These trips are custom and range from $20 to $55 per person depending on options

Options for a Day at Eklutna Lake

Half day group: $50 per person based on a minimum of six. Included in this price is a one-hour sea kayak lesson with an hour of self-guided paddling, two hours of mountain biking and our picnic area that has a shelter, fire pit and gas grill (food not included).

Options for a day at Government Peak

Half day group:  $50 per person based on a minimum of six. Included in this price is a quality mountain bike for riding the single track trails in the area.  Outside picnic tables, firepit, and gas grill.  The Government Peak Chalet will be available for the group to warm up if the weather is not optimal.  (food not included)

Options for a day of biking Anchorage

Group biking trips are available in Anchorage and can accommodate up to 45 people.  These trips are custom and range from $20 to $55 per person depending on options

A large tent, gas firepit and smoothie bike are available for Anchorage trips

Smoothie Bike / $5.00 with a $125 minimum

 That’s right you can ride your way to a healthy smoothie with our stationary smoothie bike.  Good for ages five and up this bike allows you to make personal smoothies in a matter of minutes $5 per person with a $125 minimum.

BBQ Lunch or Dinner / $22.00 per person

Reindeer hot dogs, Angus hamburgers, black bean burger, pasta salad, chips, cookies, condiments, bottled water & variety sodas. All lunch items are pre-cooked and heated up on site.

Basic BBQ Lunch or Dinner / $18 per person

Hot dogs, chicken wings, pasta salad, chips, cookies, condiments, bottled water & variety sodas. All lunch items are pre-cooked and heated up on site.

Hot and Cold Drink Service / $5 per person

Hot water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate also provided with creamer and sugar. Cold drinks:  Water, Lemonade.

Scavenger Hunt / $50.00 per person

This activity can be arranged as a whole group team building. Upon arrival guests are broken into teams, then challenged to come up with a team name. After getting into teams and announcing their team name, they will be given their scavenger hunt list. After completing the scavenger hunt the teams will need to provide their stories, the team with the best story will be awarded a prize (prize provided).

OPTIONAL rentals/purchases/activities for groups of 20 or more

These activities are available as stand-alone activities

Each activity can accommodate approximately ten guests at a time (with the exception of scavenger hunt), the guests would be broken into teams to rotate through activities. The process is flexible and is meant to be relaxing for the guests as the more activities chosen, the more options they have to try new things

Fire Building Competition / $35.00 per person

Guests are broken into teams, then challenged to come up with the best way to start a fire. All teams are provided with a bundle of wood and a couple of different lighting elements. The first team to light a fire in which the flame reaches high enough to burn through the string will be awarded a prize (prize provided).

Mountain Bikes / $35.00 per person

Guests will be provided a short introduction to mountain biking as well as appropriate use of the bike provided. Guests can then bike at their leisure along the Eklutna Lake Trail.

Kayaks / $40.00 per person

Guests will be offered a short introduction to kayaking as well as appropriate use of the kayak provided. Guests can then kayak at their leisure along the shores of Eklutna Lake. 8 single kayak / 25 doubles.

Overlook Hike / $20.00 per person

A beautiful, serene, guided hike to the overlook. The overlook allows guests a better view of Eklutna Lake, making for spectacular photography opportunities. The guided trek is  20-30-minutes roundtrip.

Twin Peaks Hike / $35.00 per person

Guests will be provided a bear aware safety orientation before heading out, with their guide, to experience the Twin Peaks Trail. The trail offers switchbacks for the uphill portion of the hike. As guests hike father the trail, it provides better and better views of Eklutna Lake. The trek concludes at the first bench (2.5 hours roundtrip). The path is uphill the entire duration to the first bench but well worth the view upon arrival. The hike is 4 miles round trip.

Blueberry Knoll Hike/ $35 per person

Guests will hike up to Blueberry Knoll offering panoramic views of Palmer and the Knik/ Susitna river valley.  This hike is uphill and should be considered fairly strenuous Hike 2.5 hours.

Fly Fishing Demonstration / $45.00 per person

Guests will be provided a standard fly rod with a yarn hook attached. Guests will receive instruction on an essential fly cast and then left to practice. Once all guests in the group have an opportunity to “master” the cast; chalk will be placed on the yarn hook, and all guests will need to cast without “hooking” themselves. The last person standing without chalk on their body will be declared the winner and will be awarded a prize (prize provided).

ATV Introduction / $155.00 per person

**ATV’s are only allowed at Eklutna Lake Sunday thru Wednesday**

Guests will be provided a safety orientation before driving or riding on an ATV. Once the orientation has been completed guests will follow their guide out onto the Eklunta Lake Trail. This trail serenely winds along the shores of Eklunta Lake providing excellent views of both the quartz colored water with the Chugach Mountains towering in the background. This introductory experience will be between 30-45 minutes per group.

Gold Panning / $55.00 per person

Guests will be provided detailed instruction and all equipment needed to pan for gold with locally purchased pay dirt. All guests that participate will depart the activity with Alaskan gold; they panned themselves!
